 | SpringHill Suites Montgomery: Good Place for a Long-Term Stay

If you need to stay in Montgomery for two weeks on business (as I did), you can do worse than staying at the SpringHill Suites. One of the many "theme hotels" run by Marriott, SpringHill Suites offers large, comfortable rooms, each with an office work area, a full-size desk, a small refrigerator, and a microwave, as well as wi-fi connectivity. The hotel also offers a swimming pool, a fitness center (very small but with brand-new equipment), laundry facilities, and a rather impressive breakfast buffet including waffles and slow-cooked oatmeal. If you need to buy something quickly, the hotel actually has a small convenience store (pay at the front desk). The lobby also sports comfy leather couches, complimentary coffee, popcorn and cookies in the afternoon and evening, a large-screen TV, and a computer with free Internet access and a printer (so you can, among other things, print out your boarding passes).
Overall, I found the service friendly, the rooms comfortable, the breakfasts tasty, and the location convenient (just off of Interstate 85). Certainly long business trips go more quickly when you have a comfortable place to stay.
