Closed After Ivan
So many of the hotels along the Gulf Coast were not operational when we were there in the winter of 2005-2006, that I started taking pictures of the ones that were still standing. There no longer seems to be a Days Inn at this location. One of the Orange Beach websites says: hotel closed from hurricane damage until mid 2005.
Unique Quality: When I wrote this tip the Days Inn official website no longer listed a hotel at this location and still does not. But the internet Days Inn reservations people were taking reservations in 2006, even though the hotel was not open. Several people were bitterly disappointed to find that they had no rooms.
I can't fine any reviews of people who have actually stayed here newer than 2004.
