though most visitors to selma come to take the civil rights tour. downtown selma has a very interesting historic district that is worth exploring for those interested in history and architecture. pictured is the selma first baptist church located in the selma historic district. the selma first baptist church was established in 1885. the first baptist church is one of several beautiful churches in downtown selma.
Sunday the 10th - Depart Knoxville for Selma. We're greeted at HPU by an amazing gospel choir.
Monday the 11th - CS / Show Day
Tuesday the 12th - We listend to stories of the famous civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery and retraced the steps of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Wednesday the 13th - The cast had an emotionally charged education session on racism this morning. That afternoon we depart Selma for Greenville. Bus date: Bill (The director of UWP music department).

Roommates: I had 22 cast roommates in this city. That's not even counting all the kids we were staying with here! We stayed at a local orphanage, the United Methodist Children's Home.
