Lakeside B&B
I wish we had had more time to spend at Lakeside B&B in Anchorage. We arrived around 9:00 p.m., and has to leave the next morning for a long drive to Homer, so we just didn't have a lot of time there.
It was a very nice accommodation, though. There was a separate bedroom, plus living area with dining table, couch and comfortable chairs, and a kitchenette. Nice bathroom, with toiletries and lots of towels.
The living area had a VCR/DVD player, and a large assortment of movies to watch. Also interesting books to look through.
As the name suggests, it is right on Sand Lake, and the bedroom and living area both have nice views of the lake. There was a nice lawn area, rope swing, and dock, from which I counted at least 13 float planes around the lake.
Breakfast was a fix-your-own style, from the foods stocked in the refrigerator and on the table. Basically continental-type fixings.
I wish I had remembered to take some pictures there, but another guest did and they are on the B&B's website.
