During the summer months, Anchorage is not a cheap place to stay. What you can get for under $100 in the winter can triple in the summer. The Long House is an exception. On a recent trip to the lower 48 I had a surprise overnight stay in Anchorage on the return. Couldn't find a room at all my usual spots and remembered that a friend always stayed here on her trips thru town. Gave them a call and got the last room available.
I was pleasantly surprised. Clean and comfortable. free shuttle and continental breakfast. Free local calls. My room had a queen bed and I slept well.
