$57 special rate two beds

I booked this room through Expedia at the special rate of only $57 per night for a room with 2 queen beds (at least 3 nights), in roon-refrigerator, microwave, safe deposit box, ironing board, hair dryers and free wireless internet and dataports. Plus a nice breakfast which included being able to make your own waffle bread, hard-boiled eggs and cereal. The Hispanic lady at the breakfast room was also helpful...Cool deal. We stayed May 2009.

With such a low rate, we did not feel bad when we did not have to sleep in the hotel when we decided to sleep somewhere else in Alaska. We basically just left our things there and we went all around for our adventures.

The hotel is also located right at downtown and has free parking space although it was always a full garage at night. If we did not have a car, the hotel also offers free 24 hour airport shuttle (advanced notice needed though) as well as Alaska Railroad Shuttle.

But the area is peaceful and we did not have any problems at all. Our rooms were also always cleaned well.

ADA accessible available.

Definitely a nice place to stay at when in Anchorage.

Book online

They had a nice breakfast & it's walking distence to all the downtown activities. We had to stay here when we moving apartments. Sinse I'm a local I searched the whole town for the cleanets place for cheap. Was under $70.00 a night. I also liked the room we got with a balcony, I could sit out there with a smoke & watch the traffic go by; Not too shaby...

Unique Quality: Decent breakfast, walking is great from this location.

Great Value in the Great Land

We chose the Ramada on 3rd because of the free airport shuttle, since our flight was getting in at midnight and we didn't want to have to worry about getting a cab. Within short order, the shuttle van had found us and, after picking up other passengers at the other terminal, we were on our way to the hotel.

The desk staff was friendly and courteous, and quickly took care of check-in. Our room faced the water, where we could see Mt. Susitna, as well as a trainyard. Quieter than in the front though.

The room itself was clean and well-kept, with Alaskan themed decor (moose lamp, etc), and a bargain at $63/night Internet rate.

Downstairs, free Internet access was available off the lobby 24/7 as well as the wonderful breakfast buffet (see below). We were also able to leave our bags as we set off to explore the downtown area (easily walkable) the next morning. The staff was also kind enough to drive us to another hotel later that day, where our cruise ship bus to Whittier was picking us up.

Unique Quality: The breakfast buffet is outstanding! This is not your ordinary continental breakfast. In addition to the requisite cold cereals, pastries, coffee and fruit, there were make-your-own waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and other goodies which made this the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had!
