Denali National Parks Hidden Gem

This last summer, my wife and I stayed at Denali Perch Resort and it was great! Its 12 miles south of south of the parks entrance, which is awesome because it it gets you away from the big hotels and the touristy area. They have a fine dining restaurant and a pizza pub on the property, so if you're looking for an excellent steak dinner with a view they have it, or if you're looking for a pub environment with a few beers and shots they have it as well. The cabins themselves sit right by a creek, they are very cozy and have a rustic feel, which is what my wife and I were looking for. So if you're looking for a real Alaskan spot to stay, this is where I would send my family and friends!

Unique Quality: The view was the best around! The resort is away from the entrance so you don't have to hear the load traffic from the large tour busses. The park entrance itself is full of cheap touristy garbage that you can buy for under a dollar, think last minute gift from a pharmacy. Thank goodness we stayed at The Perch
