This place is actually 55 miles north of Glennallen, and 16 miles south of Paxson, with nothing around it except the road, the woods, and the beautiful lake. I am posting this review under Glennallen because VirtualTourist website has no listing for Paxson.
The motel is made up of two new log buildings. Our room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a queen and a twin bed, tv, and coffee maker (and coffee). The bathroom was also large. Be aware that the bathrooms have no doors there. The entrance to the bathroom is from the side of the room, so you have viewing privacy, but no sound privacy. The roadhouse has a convenience store and a restaurant (open only from 9am to 9pm if I remember correctly). Since we came late and there was nothing else around we ate dinner there. The food was ok, but seemed like something they heated up from the freezer. I would suggest you eat elsewhere before getting to this area. If you are leaving early in the morning bring breakfast items with you, since there seemed to be no restaurants between there and Delta Junction to the north and Glennallen to the south.
After staying in parking lot type campgrounds in Alaska it was great to find this beautiful RV park in such an ideal location. The atmosphere was quite so you could hear the splashing of the creek on which every campsite is located. Management was helpful and the antiques display matched some museums.
