Spent 5 nights here in November 2010. Have stayed at all the downtown hotels and wanted to try something different.
I expected something nicer for the $130 night but needed the extra room and this seemed like a nice spot online. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a pull out sofa for the grandson in the living room and a kitchen.
Room was fairly clean but left a lot to be desired in the little things. Someone had done some deep fat frying in the room recently judging by the lingering odor. Cleaning person left the 3 of us with one towel one night and took almost an hour to get a couple more. Another night no coffee for the coffee maker. Needed a pillow for the pull out our first night and went down to the front desk and they said it would be right up and it never came. Called after an hour and he said he had gotten the wrong room number.
Many of the lamp shades were all broken. Couch had food stains. Remote for the TV didn't work and then on our last day they changed out the TV with a nice new flat screen but you couldn't change channels.
Bed was small for a queen but comfortable.
Perhaps it was just their low winter staffing? The people at the front desk seemed interested in whatever we had to say but powerless to do much to fix things.
The potential to be a really nice spot exists with some attention to detail and sufficient staffing. As is, it just didn't cut for us and I doubt we will stay here again.
