Camping on the Tustemena: Modest, but I call it home

While Peggy and Diane took places up front and under cover, I pitched my tent (half a tent) near the stack to get all the fresh air. I got a lot of strange looks, but since there are no bugs about on a moving boat, the half tent is ideal for star-gazing, and it feels a whole lot bigger that some of the tents I've slept in.

Open air and views of the night sky, with the gentle rocking of the ocean to send me off to dreamland.

Hey, Where's the rest of your tent?

Solarium Deck of the Tustemena: Camping with a twist

The Tustemena has limited sleeping space, and these trips fill up fast. I like sleeping on the deck, pitching a tent, but it can get windy! Peggy staked out an area near the front with a window view.

Fresh air and the boat will rock you to sleep, or make you sick (whichever). It can get pretty noisy up there, but after a few days you'll get used to it.
