Romantic hotel for one night stay near Apache Junction, Arizona??
My husband and I will be flying to Arizona for the first time in early November to attend a family wedding. The bride and groom would like everyone to stay at a local golf resort for the weekend so we have reservations there (Gold Canyon Golf Resort). However, since the wedding "weekend" is officially over on Sunday (after bride and groom leave for honeymoon), I would love to spend a romantic night in a really nice hotel in the area before flying home on Monday. We will be flying out of PHX so would like it to be in that general area. Also I'm interested in any "must do" attraction that we could spend time enjoying on Sunday. Any suggestions out there for our first visit to Arizona?

The Phoenician resort in Phoenix is very nice.. also the Gainey Ranch. Neither is a long trip from the airport. The best thing to me about Phoenix/Scottsdale is the shopping. If you are anywhere near Tucson, see the Sonoran Desert Museum.
