Abineau Lodge Bed and Breakfast

An absolute gem!

Wow, what a gem this place is, nothing is too much trouble for host Steve and the accommodation is wonderful with each room having its own theme. My party of four had 2 rooms here for just one night last September 2007, but how I wished I could have stayed longer. The location is stunning, on the edge of a forest with wildlife abounding - well worth the extra 7 miles drive south of Flagstaff (where I have stayed on previous trips). We were made to feel like one of the family, the welcome was really warm and friendly. Both rooms were of the highest standard both in furnishings and cleanliness and the superior quality toiletries in the bathrooms were a nice touch. A super breakfast consisted of their home made granola (delicious), and pancakes with a full cook up too! The attention to detail in this impeccable b&b is remarkable - even top flight hotels paled by comparison. There are 2 decks where you can chill out and they are really peaceful, then there are the dogs. Oh yes, this is one reason I had wanted to stay here. I wanted to meet the Huskies! Just a short way from the beautiful rustic house are the huskies and we walked down to see them. Back up at the house, you are also welcomed by a resident cat and dog as well as a colourful parrot. This place is amazing, probably a bit costlier than staying in flagstaff, but the memories are priceless! Thank you Steve and we hope to return one day.

Unique Quality: Wow, where to begin, I think I just said it all! Super rooms, a fabulous experience with a very warm welcome. Impeccable taste and attention to detail. Some pets to talk to so I don't miss mine while travelling, that is important to me. Out-of-this-world location - simply stunning.
