BED BUGS

BED BUGS, the room was infested with bed bugs. The hotel reimbursed us for the weekend however they refuse to reimburse us for the exterminator which was mandatory Given how invasive BB's are we recognize that the hotel does not do proper bug control. We requested to be reimbursed for the exterminator and they have refused.

Be warned the hotel has BB's and they do not care about their customers safety, health or well being. BB's are extremely invasive and difficult to get rid of once you have them. We were fortunate that we addressed the issue immediately upon returning home. BE AWARE, BE CAREFUL, you have been alerted.

Southwest mountain atmosphere

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great service. Continental breakfast/buffet is offered in a very lightful & lovely & huge sort of living room atmosphere, where the guests indeed are invited to do the "reflect a southwest mountain atmosphere" thing. Beautiful place. Yummy food & coffee. Hotel is also a good starting point for any hiking tours. All of the reviews on the website of http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-353302-econo_lodge_west-ibelow, are highly recommending this hotel as well.

More about Comfort Inn Flagstaff

Good value

by TripAdvisor Member sevsa

Good hotel at a reasonable price. We had spent the day at the south rim of the Grand Canyon and it was a pleasant place to stay for the evening. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good.

A nice stay in Flagstaff...

by A TripAdvisor Member

We had a pleasant stay at Comfort Inn. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and had lots to offer. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel had 2 computers available for use. There were also many restaurants within walking distance as well as a short drive. Staying in Flagstaff was excellent as a starting point to many attractions (Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, etc).

I would definitely stay here again.

Okay but avoid room 129

by TripAdvisor Member Hanna

Hotel is clean and adequate. Good breakfast. Avoid room 129. We discovered you must ask for a non-smoking room when booking. Upon arrival we were given a (stinking) smoking room (#127) so we requested a non-smoking room and the clerk gave us room 129. Avoid this room, as we were disturbed at all hours by the noise (tread) of people walking up the stairs (the room is right next to and below the stairs).

Clean & safe

I couldn't remember if I had my reservation at the Quality or the Comfort until I pulled out my confirmation in the parking lot of the Quality. Boy was I glad we had the Comfort! This is a nice area of new hotels with food nearby. Walmart is just a block away! It was graduation weekend, but we heard no noise. I felt very safe here, and the property was new, clean, and in very good condition.

Very comfy, good prices, and is pet friendly :)

by TripAdvisor Member jhi62004

This was a great place for the price. Extremely comfy and quiet. They are very pet friendly and only charge a $10.00 pet fee, which is great compared to other hotels. Our room (we booked a suite) was very comfy and roomy. They gave us each 4 pillows per each queen bed, and there was a table with four chairs which was perfect for eating in and comversation. The hotel was very close to tons of restaraunts and shopping. It was nesteled in a gorgeous place in Flasgstaff surrounded by Pine trees and the sky was so blue. This was a great place, if we stay in Flagstaff again this place will be on our list :)

Loved the area!

by TripAdvisor Member kathi-Jack

This hotel is situated in a gorgeous wooded area. It was so nice to open the window and feel the breezes and hear the trees rustling. The room was nice and the breakfast was more that I expected.

Comfort Inn was very comfortable!

by TripAdvisor Member turquesa

The Flagstaff Comfort Inn (I-17 & I-40) was clean and comfortable; it was a pleasant escape from the Phoenix heat.

It was the fastest check-in we've ever experienced at any hotel -- couldn't have taken more than four minutes, including walking to and from the car. Very friendly, helpful, and courteous front desk staff. They seemed genuinely happy to have us as guests, and we received a thank you email from management after our stay.

Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Our standard 2-queen room did not have fridge or micro. Sink was separate from shower/toilet. Rather low shower head, but it was adjustable and had a variety of settings.

Breakfast was very good with make-your-own waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, pastries, etc.

Pool was small and lounge chairs were rickety. Pool towels were a joke -- I have bigger dish towels.

Free internet access was available in lobby.

Hotel is in a convenient location, and is much better than many other options in Flagstaff (stay away from the Quality Inn across the street. P.U.!)

Decent Flagstaff hotels are not cheap and fill up quickly in summer. Don't expect any bargains, and remember, you get what you pay for.

so-so experience

by TripAdvisor Member BSS9878

Conveniently located and overall a decent place, but our room (particularly the bathroom) was very small, not even enough room for a sink in the bathroom (that was located in the bedroom proper, by the door). The bathtub needed replacement, as it was cracked and generally old. Breakfast was okay, front desk staff a little less than friendly. The hotel was packed the night we were there, which could account for the surly staff. Not enough parking in the lot. Overall just a so-so experience. I might try the La Quinta across the street next time.
