Cheap and good!
I use choicehotels.com to find hotels/motels (I like their points program). This place is consistent. Good bed linens, decent size room with two real queen beds (not doubles), enough room to store 3 bicycles in the room and luggage (or 3 sets of skis). Nice views of the mountain from the second floor breakfast room. Breakfast is very basic, but there is cranberry juice and hot chocolate as well as cream cheese for the bagels. The floor is not always very clean, the smoking sections reek of smoke, however the non-smoking are good. Great stop on the way to the Canyon. If the website shows the hotel is not available, call them and they'll try to accomodate you. The friendliest management and service people. The walls are a bit thin, but this is your basic accomodation, not the Ritz.
Unique Quality: The pool is very nice, it seemed like it was heated. The cleaning guys in the morning do a very thorough job. Never had a problem with early check in (around 11 am or noon) and late check-out, as long as you let the staff know.
