I had a brief, but great stay here. Some said it's the best hotel in town.

Is this the best hotel in Flagstaff?

After reading the reviews on this site, I was sure that the Radisson would be a good choice for us. I was wrong. While the serivce and staff were very nice, the place is much more dated than I expected.

Our room faced the rear courtyard, just above the back entrance to the banquet rooms. What a disaster! The staff sits around on crates and smoke and talk until all hours of the morning (2am actually). I tried to keep my window open, but with their talk, and the loading of tables and chairs from a wedding earlier, I couldn't enjoy the fresh air.

The bathroom was dated and the door rubbed against the ground. Shower was a little yucky.

Management did offer 50 percent off next stay, but I don't know if I will take them up on it.

Blankets were cheap and ripped and I just thought for the price, we should be getting something better.

Unique Quality: The restaurant was okay for breakfast, but nothing worse than dirty menus...well...maybe dirty forks and plates.

Beautiful hotel - great service

I typically stay at the Radisson - -it's the nicest hotel in town and the prices are reasonable.

I found a new website, as well, that gives information on various hotels in the area: www.flagstaff-hotels.net -- information about various hotel options -- i booked my last stay with Radisson through the site.

Unique Quality: newly renovated -- though they have some older rooms if you want to bring your pets, you can request one of these rooms. Great Sushi/Teppanyaki restaurant at the hotel.

Flagstaff's premier hotel accommodations

I used to go to school at NAU, and remember when this hotel in Flagstaff was built. It was known as the nicest hotel in Flagtaff, and was also known for banquets (all the NAU events were held here). It also had Flagstaff's first Sushi/Tepanyaki restaurant which was very popular for "date night.".

Coming back after so many years, now I see the Radisson Flagstaff Hotel is keeping it's reputation of excellence - you can tell from the minute you enter the lobby - it's impeccably clean, with marble floors, a fireplace and beatiful furnishings, but comfortable and warm - just like the service.

A wonderful place to come home to when vacationing in the Flagstaff and Grand Canyon areas.

Unique Quality: The Radisson Hotel is off of old Rte 66, it's convenient to all the downtown areas but also nice not to be right off of the main drag, hearing all of the traffic (that has come to Flagstaff as it has grown in the past few years).

They have very nice newly renovated rooms (I love those California King Beds!), a great fitness room and heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

The Woodlands Cafe was great for dining in the morning and at lunch, but our favorite place for dinner was Sakura, the japanese restaurant located at the hotel. And wait till you see the Radisson's wine list!

More about Radisson Woodlands Hotel Flagstaff

Nice Place to Stay

by TripAdvisor Member ZipZoo

We stayed at the Radisson Woodlands for nine nights when we were in Flagstaff for a family event and found it to be a very nice place to stay for the money. Though there were a few glitches (housekeeping forgot to service our room one day), the staff were very accommodating, and we were provided with plenty of shampoo, coffee, bottled water, and so on each day. We were initially given a room on the front of the second floor, but as that offered a view of the portico roof and a slice of sky, we asked for another and were moved to the rear of the back building with a view of trees. This building has evidently been remodeled, but the decor is not significantly different. The room and beds were comfortable, and the bathroom generous. It was very quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. When our daughter joined us, we learned that rooms ending in 54 (hers) are about 2 feet longer than rooms ending in 56 (ours)--those evidently have a bump out, so it's worth asking for one of those.

The hotel offers free internet access in the lobby and they've been kind enough to provide a b/w laser printer to print directions, boarding passes and so on (all hotels should do this!). Though there's only one computer, I rarely had to wait to use it. The outdoor pool and hot tub were quite pleasant, and there's also an indoor hot tub along with a decently equipped exercise room. USA Today newspapers are delivered to rooms weekday mornings and there is a small laundry room available for guests. We ate breakfast elsewhere (Miz Zip's and La Bellavia), and never got around to sampling the food at the Radisson. If you have leftovers, you can ask the front desk to store them in the refrigerator there.

Lovely room shame about the lounge staff

by A TripAdvisor Member

Stayed at the hotel whilst on a tour of the canyons and parks.
The room was very comforable, clean and apart from the sound of the occasional train very quiet. The food in the restaurant was very good but we did object to the service charge of 19% added to the bill.(A service charge should be at the guests discretion obviously depending on the quality of sevice they receive).
The main problem was the attitude of the lounge staff who were RUDE and discourteous.
I have been to America on a few occasions and this is the first time I have met staff like this.
The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful.

Good Hotel despite very rude lounge staff

by TripAdvisor Member ash90

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting The Grand Canyon. The hotel was fine and the room was very nice and clean. However upon arrival we were given a room that already had people staying in it and, like the previous poster, we also found the lounge staff to be extremely rude, abrupt and unbelievably impolite. The reception staff, however, were very quick and helpful when dealing with the room problem at the beginning of our stay.

Good quality, upper - tier business hotel

by A TripAdvisor Member

Stayed in one of their rooms with a sleep number bed and wireless high speed internet (assume this is available throughout hotel). Rooms was clean , spacious, included a nice desk, lounge chair. Breakfast in hotel restaurant is speedy, efficient.
Hotel is relatively new, some wear is evident but very well maintained. All in all a pleasant surprise in Flag.
