Quality Inn Grand Canyon (Highway 64 ): The short night before the Grand Canyon

  • We arrived late as we had travelled up from Las Vegas via a lunch in Kingman and many stops to admire the scenery. We checked in and were given a rollaway bed as requested (delivered to our room). The room was a twin queen bedded room with plenty of space. But as we were getting up to meet the sunrise at the south rim of the canyon we weren't taking much notice of the room. We all had a good if a little short nights sleep. Well orth staying here as it is soo close to the canyon and the airfield.

    Suites are available. There is a nice indoor pool and spa, as well as an outdoor pool. Breakfast is a continental style buffet, which was very nice (we had this between seeing the sunrise at the canyon and our helicopter flight) The restaurant does evening meals too. The airport is very close by, so if you are planning on a flight over the canyon. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Cable TV available (we didn't have time to switch it on)

    This is about average here... maybe $100 for a room? Most places are really expensive around here!

    Another very nice place to spend the night, albeit a bit more expensive. I stayed here the first time I visited. Again, nice rooms, and I really think that we were given a suite for some reason that had an ante-room with a second TV and a couch! :) That was a nice perk!
