Indian Gardens

Indian Gardens is roughly the halfway point of the south rim hike. It is about 4.5 miles from the bottom and 2.8 miles from the top. The specifics are as follows:
Indian Gardens
Distance - 4.7 miles down the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens Camp, 3 miles round trip to Plateau Point and back (Optional side hike), 4.7 miles back to the Bright Angel Trailhead.
Elevation - 6,860ft. to 3,760ft. to 6,860ft.
Best Seasons - March through September.
