Great hotel!!! We went to Lake Havasu on a holiday weekend. May 20012, it was crazy we couldnt find rooms, we found some but they were very expensive and ugly, nasty. Thank god we found this one, it was the last room of the day, Lisa fron lady gave us a great price for a very nice room. It was clean and nice. Thanks Lisa. I will come back and stay there again.

    Unique Quality: Room was great!

Travel Tips for Lake Havasu City

Cattail Cove State Park

by Basaic

Cattail Cove State Park is a short 15 miles south of Lake Havasu City. It consists of 2000 acres and borders Lake Havasu which was created when Parker Dam was built on the Colorado River. The park has good fishing and boating, a small swimmimg beach, campsites, a cactus garden, an ampitheater, and hiking trails. The park has beautiful scenery and is well worth a visit. More detailed information can be found in the following tips (until VT establishes a separate page for the park). Admission is $10 per vehicle.

I was a kid when I visited Lake Havasu, so I don't have any pictures or any tips on hot spots to visit. Apart from the presence of the London Bridge, all I recall is being impressed by how new and modern everything was. I thought it was really cool that a city in the middle of the desert could have a culture that resembled so much of the "shore" culture we have in my home, New Jersey. There's a real party spirit in Lake Havasu-- apparently it's become an extremely popular (and overcrowded) place for spring break. My most distinct memory was burning my bum on the hot concrete sitting by the lake. It is so incredibly dry in Arizona, you don't realize how hot it is. It was 120 degrees Farenheit and it felt like about 80. Don't underestimate the heat!
