We walked along the sidewalk that is directly in front of this hotel. A great place to stay I think and what other place to have your boat docked along here. While we were here they had lots of young folks and some more mature individuals having a good time with there familes sailing along in their boats, cayaks, and board sailing. The place look ultra modern. There was a beautiful water fountain the kids were having a good time standing in. It was very hot here that day.

The only complaint or it was just amazing is a couple of gals were covered just with body paint to cover up the upper torso......lol! My hubbies eyes grew huge and was immediately concerned because he is a dad he immediately said, I would be %$#@ if I knew my daughter dressed like that:) They walked with a couple of gentlemen, so hopefully they were their body guards..lol!

Travel Tips for Lake Havasu City

Lake Havasu City

by RACCOON1

Lake Havasu City is a retirement town . There is not much to see except for golf courses and mobile home dealerships.

They do have the original " London Bridge " which was dismantled in London and rebuilt in the Arizona desert .

If you return to Vegas in the late afternoon vis highway 95 and 163 you should get a very interesting view of the Black Mountains
on the east side of the Colorado River.

You might also try a drive through the Mojave National Preserve justwest of Bulhead City .

Lake Havasu State Park

by Basaic

Lake Havasu State Park is located along the scenic shores of Lake Havasu on the north side of the city not far from the London Bridge. The park has beautiful beaches, nature trails, 3 boat ramps, picnic areas and 47 convenient campsites. It is a paradise for boating enthusiasts and anyone who loves the water and great scenery. The Mohave Sunset Trail (1.5 miles each way) winds its way through the lowland desert and along the shoreline. At about the midpoint of the trail is the Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden which showcases the diverse life that exists within the park and this area of the desert. Birds, lizards, and desert cottontails are common sights.

Lake Havasu is a nice place to spend a day. The big site is London Bridge . It is a strange story, because it was taken apart in London, shipped here and rebuilt but other than that there is nothing that unusual about the bridge in itself, except it's age and how it is from far away.
It is the bridge from the song "London Bridge is Falling Down."
Many people are disappointed because they expect it to look like the famous "Tower Bridge" of London.
If that is all there was to it, I would have been disapointed, but I had fun. Me and my family took a boat cruise on the lake. It was a relaxing time and I enjoied doing it with my family and it was a nice break from our long road trip, We got to get out of the car for a while and relax before we went on with our trip.
