Lake Havasu State Park Campground: More Great Camping
Lake Havasu State Park has 45 camping sites with easy access to the lake and the hiking trail. Fees are $15 per night. These are non-electric sites. I have not stayed here, just letting you know it's available.

Sun and Water: Best place to stay in Havasu
The best place by far to stay in Lake Havasu is in a private vacation home. We first travelled to Havasu three years ago and stayed in a very nice home for less than what you pay for a decent hotel room. We had our own private pool, three bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, patio, lake view, barbeque.... and privacy! Many current comments on Havasu hotels are not too encouraging. At certain times Havasu draws crowds of young singles there for a PARTY. Most local hotels suffer damage by the few bad apples in that bunch.
But homes are more selective and usually more expensive than the party crowd wants to pay. If you want a great place to stay, visit one of the many vacation home rental sites on the web and look for listings like the one we stayed in. There are two others we are aware of: one called Sun and Water and another called Lake View at Sunset.
Private walled yard, heated in-ground spa, solar heated pool, beautiful landscaping, peace and quiet. The best thing is floating on the pool with an iced tea and a good book. By far the most relaxing vacation we've ever taken.

House Boats: Popular Lodging Choice
We did not spend the night in Lake Havasu City, but I do want to point out to prospective visitors the prospect of renting a house boat for your stay here. There are lots of them available, but book well in advance, particularly on weekends, during the winter and during spring break for US schools.
If you don't like your current location or the view, just rev up the motor and move on. And you are always just a few steps from a giant swimming pool.
