More about King's Cottage Bed and Breakfast

Fantastic Valentine's Day getaway

by TripAdvisor Member BAH26

Everything was fabulous...the Carriage House was perfect, breakfast was amazing, Ann & Janis were wonderful hosts, and we will go back as soon as we have the opportunity!

Casual but Elegant

by TripAdvisor Member jbrenna

One of the most nicest Bed and Breakfasts we have ever stayed in. The atmosphere is very casual, but the surroundings are elegant. The innkeepers are very knowledgeable and willing to help you with any reservation that you may want to make.

Great in-town location with hosts who have extensive local information to share.

by TripAdvisor Member sanyeah

The hosts have thought of everything. There is a 24/7 refreshment area and your choice of a living room or sun room for relaxation and reading. And, if you are tired from a busy day of touring, a hot tub. You can even request spa services for an additional fee.
Ann and Janis will assist you with local recommendations and reservations. They even provide your own personal copy of custom directions and maps from/to King's Cottage. There's no risk of getting lost since these are easy to follow. You certainly feel at ease here and able to maneuver around Lancaster like a local.

Best Bed and Breakfast in PA!

We had the most wonderful stay at King's Cottage Bed and Breakfast! I never slept so well. Went right home and re-did our bed just like the one that was there!!! EVERYTHING was great. Janis and Ann helped us with dining accomodations.... dinner was wonderful as well. We will definitely be back!

Everything we had hoped, and more!

My husband planned our trip to the King's Cottage B&B as an anniversary surprise. Bravo, he did a fantastic job!
The Innkeepers we very friendly. Upon check in we were greeted by Samson, the most precious Bichon Frise, he quickly won over our hearts. It was obvious from the moment we checked in that the goal was to satisfy us. We were asked us on several occasions if we were satisfied or if we needed anything extra. They offered their advice on what restaurants and outings to take part in. We took their advice and had a wonderful time.
We stayed in the Carriage House. It was a cozy and romantic place to relax. Janis and Ann thought of every possible amenity that we could have needed during our stay. The breakfasts were FANTASTIC! The Food Network could take advice from these ladies.
There was absolutely nothing we did not love about our stay. We are already discussing a return trip. We recommend this B&B.
Thank you Janis & Ann, you made our anniversary a memorable one.

Beautiful room, loud guests that weekend

by TripAdvisor Member tiredinpa

The majestic room is gorgeous and very elegant with fireplace and DVD player. The innkeepers are friendly and helpful. This particular weekend, a rather large loud group was at the inn and decided to tromp around at all hours and talk in front of the ice maker (outside of our room) at around 1a.m. The group was equally loud and gabby early in the morning. Also, beware of some of the local taverns. They are often hangouts for the college crowds. We usually love staying at the Inn, but this time was not romantic - just loud and annoying. I also think that the check out time is early (11:00) when you can't check in until 4:00 p.m.

Great, Cozy Bed & Breakfast with Wonderful Food

by TripAdvisor Member hoseriera

Our stay was very pleasant. Ann and Janis, the innkeepers are truly personable and very nice. They were really helpful as we sought to find our way around Lancaster and were very knowledgeable about the area! The location is really the best part - it's right on the edge of the city with easy access to the touristy and farmland areas of Lancaster County--so you really get to experience the best of both worlds. Poached pears, baked apples, gourmet omelets and french toast rounded out the visit for a very pleasant breakfast dining experience. They were super attentive to our dietary needs (e.g., nut allergies and vegetarian) and we really appreciated that. We would recommend!

Beautiful and wedding relaxation

by TripAdvisor Member brooklynanna

We've been to King's Cottage about 10 times now and plan to keep going back. We knew King's Cottage would be the place to go after our wedding in NY - just for a a break in the action, time to relax and be together. Ann and Janis are the ultimate hosts, the B&B is always immaculate and beautiful, the meals rich and delicious and nothing is impossible. We love every visit there and can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can get back there!

Convenient Location, Excellent service and food

by TripAdvisor Member Buemxrex

We loved our stay at King's Cottage. The staff were very helpful in recommending places to go and things to do. They have maps highlighted with locations all around and will be happy to direct you wherever you need to go and make reservations for you. The food was delicious, gourmet all the way, and all local products. We stayed in the Duchess room, which was nice to have the attached bathroom. Only complaint was that the room was a little smaller than I thought it would be. Other than that, we loved our time there.

A delightful experience!

by TripAdvisor Member Yellowbird60

In August, I had a conference to attend in DC, and decided to tag on some leisure time before it began, and I'm so glad i did! This was our first adventure to the Amish Country, and months later, I'm still blown away by the charm of this area. Being at the King's Cottage B&B in Lancaster, was not only a wonderful experience in and of itself, it was also a great location for day trips to see surrounding areas. The Innkeepers, Ann and Janice, were very knowledgable and really helped make our trip extra special! They know where the best places are for food, shopping and spectacular views of the Amish countryside. We can't wait to go back!
