Each USA state has its...

Saguaro cactus is an official flower of Arizona.
It seems that each USA state has it's own official flower, bird and... what else? Btw I love that idea - I just think which bird and flower could it be in Poland :-).
From my friend Nat:(b1bob):
That depends on each state. Some just have a motto, flower, and bird. Others have the motto, flower and bird plus fish, insects, and even an official snack (Illinois: popcorn).
Thank you Nat.
Agriculture on a desert?
by matcrazy1
It seems that except empty, desert areas there are some farms on a desert as well.
Hmm... if you water the land... Or maybe there are cattle farms exclusively there. Look at my picture to see the pickup truck and its load: isn't it food for the cattle?
Landart town?
by matcrazy1
Look at another landart (is it correct name?) example from Marana. It looks quite nice, don't you think so?
Do they love to make such land areas there? Made (paid) by private business or a city? Hmm... I don't know.
Notice no flowers there, no wonder - they didn't use to "waste" water there, I suppose.
Cactus? What's that?
by matcrazy1
Cactus is any of many types of desert plant with thick stems for storing water and usually spines (= sharp points).
Hmm... better do NOT touch them and do NOT sit on them :-)). But what about drinking water from cacti?
Btw plural from the word "cactus" is either cactuses or cacti - both forms are correct but which one is more popular among Americans?
No Tequila inside a cactus stem :-(((
by matcrazy1
The stem of Saguaro Cactus is tall and thick: 18 to 24 inches (46 - 61 cm) in diameter.
The stem can absorb a lot of water (not Tequila :-) when it's raining to save it for looong no rain periodes. So the diameter of a stem can change.
