Travel Tips for Mesa
Tortilla Flats, AZ
by BrendaSonnabend
Make sure when you are in the Mesa area to take time to visit Tortilla Flats. It is an old town with a bar/restaurant and live music on the patio. The barstools are actual saddles that you sit on and there are dollar bills covering all the walls. It is a unique place and quite an interesting drive thru the mountains to get there. It is beautiful scenery.
Brinton Botanical Garden
by BruceDunning
This is a cactus garden next to the main canal. That canal was first dug by Indians back in around 700BC. Expanded many times, it now serves as one of the main water flows to the city/valley. The cacti garden is on 30 acres of grounds, and was a dedication of the Brinton family, who made there "stake" here, and had mills to process grains, which go *** water form the canals. Dilworth Brinton, a son organized the purchase of this ground to allow all to enjoy the canals and the cactus park.
Ahh- the sun.........

"Sit back-relax- and don't step on that jellyfish"
Yes- off to Mexico so we could get out of the heat. Drop a toe in the water.
On the golf course in Arizona you don't wear sun block- you take your dental records.
Some one asked what my handi-cap was on the course. I told 'em it was the oven-mits I wear.
We'll get away agin this year but this time to fish in California.
Keep the bait on the hook and the hook in the water.
If you want me to come back give me steak not the fodder.
Keep the bottles cold and the kids on the shore.
It's a great vacation and so much more.
