Great hotel for conferences
I joined Holiday Inn's club called priority club, and was put on the Priority Club floor. It included a balcony overlooking the pool, a TV, table, two beds, comfortable bathroom, fridge, microwave and daily paper from M-F. It was pretty quiet. The pool was good - surprisingly cool for a Phoenix-Mesa summer. The pool also had a 'bridge' waterfall that you could swim or walk under. There was also a whirlpool. Also included is a small gift shop, free parking and ONE, note ONE online computer in the lobby that you can check your email on. But it is free.
There are also conference rooms (my conference took the lot of them), and a fairly good restaurant.
The drawback of this Holiday Inn rather than the one in Tempe is that there is no free airport shuttle. You can rent a car from the hotel though.
Unique Quality: Good pool, quiet location, easy to get to. Pets are allowed as well, although there would be a deep cleaning charge.

A good location
A good clean hotel situated very near the highway to get us to most areas we needed to whilst on holiday in the Phoenix/Mesa area
