Travel Tips for Patagonia

See Historic Patagonia

by Basaic

"Historic Patagonia"

One part of the history of Patagonia surrounds the Patagonia Depot. The depot was built in the 1890s and was in use until about 1962. Today the building houses the Patagonia City Hall.

"Arts and Crafts and Antiques"

There are a lot of artists in the Patagonia Area. The Patagonia Arts, Gifts, Cafe, located right down the street from the depot houses the Mariposa Bookstore (which also provides visitor information), the Patagonia Artist's Coop (a group of local artists showing their wares) and a store selling items of interest from around the corner or around the world.

"Nature"

For nature lovers; there is birdwatching near the northwest edge of town and a small butterfly garden in town. Patagonia Lake State Park is also nearby.
