A pleasent surprise!!!

After reading a couple reviews about this hotel I was sceptical about staying there but we did and are so glad we did!
We even extended our stay for 3 extra days! The staff treated us like family and our dog Precious like royalty!
The room was very comfortable and housekeeping did an outstanding job each day! I felt 100% safe
& secure at this cozy lil hotel! I will definitely stay there again & would recommended it to everyone!

Unique Quality: The pool and spa were wonderful! The convenience of circle k and the unique cafes were just lovely!

DUMP...DO NOT STAY HERE...PERIOD

This place is a dirty and disgusting place....the sheets smell like auto shop towels...the beds are like cement and the pillows like a 99 cent bag of cotton balls (that may have been more comfortable) the bathub moldy and the owner Larry is a slimeball.....the staff is creepy apparently all live in the rooms and yell at each other all day and through the night...it is located in a dirty part of town where dirty lowlifes roam around the hotel day and night.
You would be better off staying anywhere else...even in your car the sleep would be better.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
IT IS RATED AS A 2 STAR...I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE THIS A TIN STAR!

TERRIBLE!!!

It's NOT a Best Western Property anymore, and it is no longer owned by the Tonto Indian Tribe or the Matzlatal Casino. It has private owners that do not know what they are doing. This was the worst motel stay we have ever had, and we travel frequently. First, the motel got the reservations wrong and tried to charge us for a night we weren't even in the state. Second, the rooms were in poor condition--hole in the wall, unpainted wall patches, cracked and peeling caulk in the bathrooms w/ mildew stains, build-up caked on the shower heads, torn and shredded carpet, broken handles on the poorly-fitting window shutters (yes, shutters, no curtains), uncomfortable beds and unclean linens; We checked in at 1:00AM, got to bed by 1:30AM, and housecleaning was knocking on our door at 9:00AM wanting to come in! We told them to come back later--so they did at 10:00am!! Check out wasn't until 11:00AM!!! And when we complained to management, they acted as though that was normal. What a waste of money--I wouldn't go back if it was given to me for free.

Unique Quality: Outside appearance was quaint, pool was OK.

More about Paysonglo Lodge

For all around comfortable...

by mikem

For all around comfortable lodging in Arizona, that will not break the bank, I would suggest using either Best Western hotels or Mariott Courtyard hotels. Best Western is more likely to be found in the small towns and scattered throughout Arizona. If clean and comfortable lodging is what you want, you should do fine with this choice.
In Arizona, I can recommend from prior stays Best Western Innsuites Hotels in both Phoenix and Tucson, Best Western Paint Pony Lodge in Show Low,Best Western Paysonglo Lodge in Payson,Best Western Pony Soldier in Flagstaff Arizona. Best Western Innsuites in both Phoenix and Tucson have suites with double jacuzzi tubs. Let me tell you if you spend any time horsebackriding or hiking, this can relieve knots in your spine, or a long plane flight from oversea's.
Several of the hotels, like the Paint Pony and Paysonglo have a very western theme.
