by summerdragon1101010

VT is not a volunteer agency or a travel agency, I'm afraid.

You will need to directly contact the organisation (in Phoenix?) which uses volunteers to find out their requirements.

If you have not got their contact details try googling the name (+ maybe 'phoenix').

Do you mean volunteering in Phoenix?

There is a wonderful website called volunteermatch.com, you should try it.

Travel Tips for Phoenix

Silly Mountain

by Hermanater

As you drive east towards Gold Canyon (just past Apache Junction) on Freeway 60, there are 2 small hills on the north side. There is an old road going up between them. This is the path to the top of Silly Mountain. There is a place to park at the trail head. This place is so easy to find since it is on the side of the freeway. It make a good little morning climb to get the blood flowing. This was a place were the kids did not have to go far to see some of the taller catcus close up.

Lots of choices . . .

Phoenix is home to the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamonds, the NBA's Phoenix Suns and the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. With all of these options, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a great sporting event to attend.

Chandler Farmers market

by HeidiR about Chandler farmes market

The amrket meets on a Thursday between 3 and 6pm.
It meets in Old town Chandler on Arizona ave. Map and details of some vendors on my website

There are produce vendors including organic produce, salsa, hummus, breads and chutneys, many more
On the other side there is craft vendors with home made items such as cushions, jewelrly and soaps.

There are also retail vendors such as myself selling barefoot childrens books. Although I am not there every week.

Come and support my friends and see some historic downtown Chandler

Incredible wine selection...

by Agraichen about Mosaic

Very cosomopolitan...neveau. The architecture alone is worth the visit. And the chef...Deborah Knight....provides dishes that rate in the top 10 of the US.

Ms Knight is considered one the the "Top Rising Stars" in the restaurant business.

After her "internship" she made the break and opened her own place in her "home" town of Phoeniz.

The night visited is probably typical...at least for her sake I hope so...The place was full to capacity all night.

It is on my list of US Top 10...... I'm biased, but the steak was fantastic...but so was the shrimp...
and the lamb ...
and the lobster...
according to my dining mates....

Omaha Steakhouse

by acemj about Omaha Steakhouse

This place was right in the hotel so it was convenient to order a steak for room service. Put me right to sleep!
The photo shows the bar of the restaurant which is located in the open atrium of the hotel. Filet Mignon
