If nothing specific is suggested you could try this site.

If you have not heard of them owners advertise their own properties and you deal direct with them. I had a very successful experience using this method,

Try this web site: http://www.homeaway.com/

I read about it in the AAA magazine. Since AAA is a reputable and respected travel club, I am assuming that they would not recommend a web site that is not also reputable. I have looked it over, and plan to use it myself. I saw some great deals on it. Apartments and condos offered by private people, including reviews written buy people who have actually stayed in the places offered. I love this web site, and have it under my "Favorites" list. Can't wait to try out a place from it.

That's a pretty good neighborhood. Try to stay east of Central Ave though.

"Visitors to Hunt's tomb enjoy a panorama of Phx"

by Maria250

"George W. P. Hunt (1859-1934)

The gravesite of Governor Hunt is the most visited of any of Arizona's governors. This seems only appropriate since he was the most elected governor in the history of the nation, having been elected to seven terms in office. However, those who visit his tomb are much less likely to be paying homage to the man than enjoying the view. His tomb overlooks Phoenix from above the Phoenix Zoo and Papago Park. Besides the magnificent panorama of the city, visitors can look over their shoulders and have a better view of the long horned sheep than if they were in the zoo.."

A laid back bar that is cool...

by dshinkle about Martini Ranch

If you like dancing, live music, flavored martini's and cute bartenders, than Martini Ranch is the place for you.

The club is located in the center of the trendy club district in Scottsdale and features indoor bands, and outdoor dancing.

The place is casual and gets wild, but it is not a meat market. Certainly not a romantic place, but more a place to cut loose and have fun. You can wear anything you want at Martini Ranch. The place is full of college kids all the way up to 30 somethings.

Richardson's-Rokerj-A Comeback Try

by BruceDunning about Richardson's & Rokerj

The menu has breakfast from 7-4PM and prices are $10-20. Most items are $15-30 for lunch. Try dinner out for around $30-50 range for steaks & chops. The menu if filled with so much to choose from that it is mind boggling. It includes Rokerj and Richardson's items combined and takes up about 6 pages of food selections.
The inside was dark and too unattractive for my suitability.
Richardson's burned down a couple of years ago, and recently added its meal fare to Rokerj while they are rebuilding another restaurant close by. We had the flat bread pizza type. It was good, but not outstanding. Or companions had appetizer of sausages and a salad to split between them. The food was okay, at best, and much overrated given the name and following of locals to flock here to see/be seen?
So I say the flat bread was our favorite-the price was a factor since I do not like getting ripped off for a meager and mediocre meal

Roys of Scotsdale

by HeidiR about Roys

This restaurant has great food. Delicious bread. There are certain speciality desserts that you must order at the start of your meal.

The menu changes each night, not sure by how much just know its famous for having different menus on a daily basis.

Think this restaurant is great for a special occasion as it is probably a little more expensive than the average place.

Can choose to eat either inside or out. May be adviceanble to book as it was pretty busy. Bread was great although there is a danger of eating too much of it.

Delicious fish dishes and a wide range to choose from at about $25 for a main course.

Alternatively can choose the 3 course meal for $30 but then you only 2 or 3 options for main course and 2 options for dessert.

A NEW ROYS HAS JUST OPENED UP IN CHANDLER, ON RAY ROAD AND THE I10
