Super 8 Hotel: Nicer Hotel
Of the two places I stayed in Safford, this was the better deal. It had a refrigerator and microwave, coffeemaker, nice TV, and even a seating area. Everything worked well and was very clean. The desk clerk was efficient.
Unique Quality: Nice Pool. Great view from the parking area.

Best Western: Not cheap but excellent place to stay.
Safford's Best Western Motel has drive-in registration and spacious clean rooms with good en-suite bathroom & toilet on two levels with windows facing inwards to the carpark which is useful for keeping an eye on one's vehicle. Breakfast however is a rudimentray ad hoc self-service affair comprising croissants, blueberry muffins cereals and fruit juice on tables in one of the ordinary hotel rooms, which guests let themselves into with their room key. There is no real dining room which is a minus. Service is efficient but not especially friendly.
Unique Quality: There is a small but adequate and clean low walled swimming pool in the center of the entry car park and the Motel is situated on the main route through Safford so it is easy to find and return to.
