People go to see and be seen here. Dress to impress and expect it to be crowded Thursday-Saturday. The lounge downstairs in the restaurant is a nice retreat from the noise. Trendy attire.

This is one of my favorite breakfast / lunch places in Scottsdale. It is in the Old Town Scottsdale section off Indian School and next door to the James Hotel. Totally worth the visit. The food is killer. There is a nice coffee house / bar area. We love to eat on the patio. Little birds skip in and out while you eat looking for crumbs. Just a gem of a place. Sunrise Benedict. An Eggs Benedict plate with avacado. Killer! Served with excellent rosemary potatoes.
The bloody Mary's are excellent too.
Hello,
I'm staying at the Marriott in Oldtown Scottsdale in June for 4 days. I'm 27 and single, so I would like to find some fun places to hang out and meet people. However, my mom will be with me on this trip. She's a really fun lady but I won't be hanging out at dance clubs since she will be with me. Is there any good places with people of all age groups? We would also like to do some shopping. Is there any good shopping near the Marriott? Do I really need to rent a car? Please help!
Cars are pretty valuable in the Phoenix area. You may like the James Hotel J Bar but it will be too young for Mom
hi --
yes, you will definitely need a car. everything in the phoenix/scottsdale area is very spread out.
i have not been to them, but i know there are a couple of fancy malls not far from the old town area of scottsdale (i stayed in scottsdale last fall but did not go shopping much).

You won't have any difficulties in OldTown, there are galleries, shopping and great food. The nightlife is alive there as well. The Fashion Square mall is right off of Scottsdale and Camelback, there are day spas at The Phoenecian and also a great spot just to spend a day relaxing. Raw is a popin' sushi bar. Stay North from Oldtown and you'll find everything. Hayden has parks and golf courses are everywhere. Go to scottsdalecvb.com for more info. Next time you book a vacation here contact me, I have some condos and homes fully furnished for rent and the privacy of a home instead of a hotel.-Autumn
Also, a very cool place that you might want to check out is Tempe. At night you can walk down the main strip and head over to the Tempe Towne Lake.
