More about Boots and Saddles

Fabulous red rock views, terrific food, and thoughtful hosts

by TripAdvisor Member TangerineLulu

My husband and I have stayed at 45 different B&Bs, and sometimes the pictures in the brochures or on the web sites don't accurately reflect the actual property. It's exceedingly easy to take tight shots of rooms and leave out less than stellar elements or take long range shots that fail to show the wear and tear. Happily the web site for Boots and Saddles not only is a very accurate representation, but it cannot possibly show the beauty of the red rock views and how very close they are to the property.

We stayed two nights in the Gentleman Cowboy room and were so impressed with the breathtaking view, the comfort of the bed, and the cleanliness of the room. Sam's breakfasts are arranged so beautifully that you'll feel certain that there is a food stylist in the kitchen tweaking them before they are presented to you in the dining room. But resist the temptation to just admire the breakfast and dig in!! The food is interesting and flavorful and abundant.

Sam and his wife Irith are very knowledgeable about the Sedona area and sincerely want their guests to have the best Sedona experience possible. It is wonderful to be their guests because they are so obviously enjoying having a B&B. We really enjoyed talking to them about their travels, their family, and their plans for the B&B.

We know that they will have many years of success, and we highly recommend Boots and Saddles to travelers who are looking for a superior Sedona experience.

Very warm, hospitable service

Sam and Irith (the owners) were both very kind and very personable. The room was absolutely stunning and the views were great. I have never had such outstanding service anywhere in my life, they really do make sure you are comfortable 24 hours around the clock. I'll always know where I'm staying everytime I'm in Sedona. It was a pleasure to meet them both.

My husband and I stayed at Boots and Saddles for 3 nights. It was perfection in every way. Sam and Irith made us feel at home from the moment we met them. They are wonderful people who will make sure your trip is one you will never forget. The rooms are great. The first night we stayed in the Santa Fe with a beautiful view of Thunder Mountain. The other nights we stayed in Cowboy Dreams with a great view of Cathedral Rock. The rooms a beautifully decorated and very clean. Sam's breakfasts were out of this world!!.Sam and Irith gave lots of suggestions for hiking trips, dining and other excursions. Sedona and Boots and Saddles left us in awe. We will be back soon.

Splendor in Sedona

We can see why Sam and Irith won the award for "Best Hospitality". No other hosts have ever been more accommodating, friendly, and social to their guests. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and the bed and breakfast is within a short distance of all there is to see and do in Sedona. You simply "can't miss" with a stay at Boots and Saddles!

Like staying with good friends

by A TripAdvisor Member

We were scrounging for a place to stay for a night in Sedona -- the online booking companies showed all the hotels and resorts as full. So I started calling through the top-rated B&Bs from tripadvisor (you need to do some digging to find phone numbers).

Talk about serendipity! Spending a night at Sam and Irith's Boots and Saddles was like staying with good friends. We got in Saturday afternoon and Sam advised us on the best places to visit, the best place to see the sunset (it ended up being cloudy, though), and helped us get a dinner reservation. The room was immaculate, and thoughtfully prepared. The hottub was great for star watching (bring a flashlight to help unlock the top in the dark).

If you're on a diet, plan to bend the rules to sample the breakfast; Sam's quite a cook.

Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Wonderful Choice!

We just returned from a 3 night visit with Sam and Irith at Boots and Saddles. We flew into Las Vegas and after driving several hours to reach Sedona, we were a bit nervous when driving up to this B & B as the exterior was rather ordinary. Our concerns disappeared quickly when we met Sam and Irith and were shown to our rooms (there were 4 of us traveling together). Our friends had the very charming Western Country room and we were next door in the Santa Fe. Both rooms had just the right touches with little patios right outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the fabulous, bug-free, humidity-free, views and atmosphere. Our last night was in the Cowboy Dreams room and although it was upstairs and had no private patio, it did have a wonderful king sized bed and beautiful views of the red rocks. The living-dining area was stocked with videos, books, magazines and there was always a snack or two waiting to satisfy your cravings. We had more than our share of the delicious chocolate chip cookies! Sam surprised us each morning with a scrumptious, creative gourmet breakfast and was able to answer our every question about Sedona and recommend the best of everything about the area. We followed his advice for the time we were there and we were never disappointed. He made arrangements for our jeep tour and horseback ride and they were more than we had dreamed. Several years ago we stayed at a more expensive B & B in Sedona and although it was very nice, the hospitality offered by Sam and Irith made Boots & Saddles our favorite. As evidenced by the other comments on this page, we agree that you WILL be happy with your Boots and Saddles vacation!

A Weekend I will never forget

by A TripAdvisor Member

It is difficult for me to express my experience at Boots & Saddles in words. I'm sure there are many lovely B & B's in Sedona. I would also venture to say that some of them have rooms as inviting and cozy as those of Boots & Saddles. However, it is Sam and Irith that make Boots & Saddles unique. Their enthusiasm and energy is contagious, and one can't help but smile in their presence. I would recommend Boots & Saddles to anyone who enjoys great conversation, personal attention, beautiful rooms, and the true meaning of hospitality.

great place to be

We were finishing a long road trip and wanted a place to relax kick-back and have fun.
Boots and Saddles was everything and more than what we expected. Sam and Irith are wonderful hosts and we had a blast. We were sad to leave after staying there for just 2 days. We will go back and stay longer.

I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a friendly , romantic setting

Wonderful end to our holiday

by TripAdvisor Member PollyG

We spent the last few days of our holdiay at Boots and Saddles, staying in the "Gentleman Cowboy" Suite. It was idyllic, the perfect end to our trip to Arizona. Irith & Sam were excellent hosts, on hand to give help and information when we needed it, whilst ensuring that we had our privacy.

There are many places to visit in the world and so we don't normally go back to a place .... Boots and Saddles will be the exception. What better recommendation can you ask for!

Great place to stay!

by A TripAdvisor Member

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Boots and Saddles for three nights last week. The owners, Sam and Irith, went above and beyond to make sure that our stay in Sedona was a memorable one. Our room (the Sante Fe) was very clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the sheets were some of the softest we have ever felt! (My husband also fell in love with the robes provided during our stay!) Sam's homemade breakfast every morning was both unique and delicious. It gave us all the energy we needed for our day's activities. We planned each day using their extensive knowledge of Sedona and its surrounding areas. (Driving directions and restaurant recommendations were on the money!) Fresh cookies and an afternoon snack awaited us each day when we returned "home." Sam and Irith have truly mastered the art of customer service by delivering a level of comfort and welcomeness not found in any resort or hotel. We came home feeling as if we were able to experience exactly what we wanted to on our short trip there. Given that we could not find one negative aspect of our stay here, we can wait to return!
