  • "5 Star Hotel Accommodations" at a budget price

    by

I had a wonderful stay at this place. The room was very clean and comfortable with a view of the "Bell Rock" and surrounding mountains.

Jacuzzi tub was spotless and looked like it was brand new. Size of the rooms is larger than average. There was a king size bed and a pull-out couch for the kids behind the partition.

Rooms are decorated very tastefully with a south-west flavor. Right behind the hotel is a supermarket for those of you who wish to get some snacks or refreshments and there are plenty of restaurants within the walking distance. The hotel staff was very friendly and resourceful.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Sedona and all of my friends.

Unique Quality: Very unique South-West flavor room decorations made you feel very "at home".

Very clean rooms and friendly and resourcefull staff

Location - Located right next to the "Bell Rock"

Directions: Right next to Bell Rock

Easy to find. Surrouned by red rock complete with a hot tub to enjoy the star filled sky. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Beautiful Picturesque Sedona

Bell Rock was my first picture of Sedona the next morning we woke up, we drove into Sedona at dusk and checked into the Desert Quail Inn and woke up to the beautiful splendor of the red rocks of Sedona, after flying over it earlier that day from the North. I'm always in awe of the surrounding beauty of this spectacular landscape. Sedona is a 1 and a 1/2 hour drive North of Phoenix.

Super 8

We're traveling to Arizona to visit an aunt next April and want to take a few days in Sedona. We'll be on a budget. As great as the resorts look, we just need a place to shower/sleep, want to see as much as we can.

The Super 8 in Sedona has great prices. Has anyone ever stayed here? Any comments anyone? Or do you have another place to recommend.

Can't comment on the Sedona one but we stayed in 2 Super 8's either side of Tucson earlier this year. Check my Arizona travel page accomodation tips.

If you're on a budget and your priority is clean basic accomodation just providing somewhere to sleep as ours was then they both served a purpose. As you will see from my notes they were both very different and even though the second one was dissappointing if I needed a room and it was the only one available I would go there again.

We stayed near the Super 8 in Sedona -- from the outside it looked fine, and the pool looked nice. It is located in the quiet part of Sedona. It looks from the reviews on this website that it's kinda hit and miss:

What may be a better choice is the Desert Quail Inn in Oak Creek. We found Oak Creek to be much quieter, and not so congested and Touristy as Sedona. You can try and e-mail VT member Extremist, as she recently returned from there. You can tell her I sent you. Good Luck!
