Bell Rock is farther out of town, but has a great pool for the kids.
Radisson is way more expensive because it is trying to be a resort with a golf course and tennis courts.
Rooms at the Radisson start at $150 in the Winter, with no view.
However, King's Ransom is 50 dollars cheaper, recently renovated, a super pool and covered spa, is on a hill with great room views. They have reopened their restaurant with plans to expand from breakfast and lunch to soon offering dinner. The chef is French trained, but the menu is without those high French prices. The food is organic, eggs having the deep yellow color and cooked to perfection. Crepes, frittatas, and ripe fruit are featured.
Lunch is also very good.
There is a good view while dining, which sometimes is hard to find in Sedona.
See below for pics of the hotel.
I have mentioned above many outstanding characteristics of this hotel, but one thing I forgot to mention was the friendly staff. They were helpful in many ways, including suggestion of which Jeep Tour would be the most adventurous.
Visiting in the late Fall, the pool was most always empty, and weather was warm enough to enjoy it. The pool water was not cold and the hot tub/spa which is large was not too hot that you had to keep getting out to cool off.
