WARNING!!! DO NOT STAY!!!
THE ROOMS SMELL LIKE SMOKE AND MOLD!
FRONT DESK ONLY HAS ONE PERSON WORKING THE ENTIRE TIME. YOU NEVER SEE A SUPERVISOR.
FRONT DESK IS SARCASTIC AND UNHELPFUL WHEN EXPLAINING THAT THE ROOM SMELLS LIKE SMOKE. I WAS TOLD TO OPEN THE WINDOW AND TURN ON THE AIR, WHICH I DID. UNFORTUNATELY THE SCREEN TO WINDOW IS BROKE OPEN AND I OPTED OUT OF HAVING BUGS FLY IN THE WINDOW. I WAS TOLD I COULD UPGRADE FOR MORE MONEY TO A "DIFFERENT" ROOM.

La Quinta or Hotel Suggestion for Sedona, AZ
My sister, nephew and I will be coming in from the Grand Canyon and staying one night in Sedona, AZ next week. We plan on meeting a friend at Camp Verde the next day. Our AAA rep suggested the La Quinta at Village of Oak Creek (6176 Highway 179). Does anyone have any comments about that hotel, or could recommend another hotel for the one night that would be close to Camp Verde?

Yes, the La Quinta in Sedona was recently renovated and it does have good prices for a hotel near Sedona. However, Camp Verde is also close to Cottonwood and Clarkdale and you might find decent hotels there as well ( we stayed at the Pines Motel in Cottonwood and it was okay)...there is a nice safari in the middle of the desert in that and they have a lot of tigers and bears! In Camp Verde itself, they do have the Days Inn and Comfort Inn (and other lodges) as well....but I think you will enjoy staying at the Sedona La Quinta and AAA members also might get a discount...Greetings from AZ, Norman :)

La Quinta is one of my favorite hotel chains. Of course, there are some that are better than others but I've never had a bad experience in any of them.
