More about Sedona Pines Resort
Lovely Sedona Pines

Our family had a mini-family reunion (14 people) at Sedona Pines. We had 3 two bedroom units and 1 one bedroom. The 2 bedroom units were together which was very nice. The front desk staff was helpful and answered all our questions. I liked that each unit was private yet bigger than a hotel room. They were very clean and the kitchen had everything you would need. This is not a luxury resort but had everything we wanted. The stars at night were breath taking. I liked that it was not in the middle of Sedona but close enough. I would recommend this resort but do you homework. If you want daily maid and room service, this would not be for you. It is not a trailer park but a resort facility that fits in with it surroundings. Very natural and relaxing.
Something Different for Sedona

my husband and I stayed at the Sedona Pines the first week of Nov.2005. I read the reviews when we came back from our trip. The cottages are upscale park models that are very clean. The bedroom is not spacious as one writer has cited, however it had a bed equal to a 5 star hotel and a large bay window that overlooked the waterway that goes through each cottage, this was very tranquil. The bathroom had a whirlpool and was very clean. The livingroom and kitchen were attractive had many windows and catherdal ceilings. The pool and outdoor hot tub were very clean. All the cottages have a large deck with full size table and chairs. There was also a grill. The extensive waterways are the premier highlight of this property. We stayed at at the Amara in June 2005 and I would recommend this property over the Amara for value, spaciousness, and appearance of grounds. The staff at each resort were professional and sincere about customer satisfaction.Senona Pines are independent free standing units that offer something very different for sedona. If you can live without the bell hop and small common corriders try this place out.
Loved the cozy park model!

We spent the last week of January, 2006 at Sedona Pines, are first stay after purchasing a time share.
We enjoyed the privacy of not having anyone in the same building, and they had enough events to keep us occupied when we weren't touring the area.
Our one disappointment was the restaurant. We have the worst fish fry we've ever had in our lives! The fish must have been lost in the freezer for some time; rubbery, awful! However, 2 nites later we had a great steak dinner. Other meals were mediocre. They should consider putting a different restaurant in there and we put that on our evaluation sheet when we left.
Perfect for families!!

I was a bit hestitant after reading some of the reviews but I'm so glad we stayed at Sedona Pines. I was traveling with my mom and two young children (ages 1.5 and 4.5) and it was perfect for us. My mom had her own private detached room with full bath and my girls and I stayed in the main unit. A small deck area separated the two units--the kids loved running back and forth. The main bedroom was tight but had plenty of storage and space for my packnplay. This is most certainly not a resort by any stretch, but it is perfect if you want a private, quiet, clean, home away from home, place to stay. The amenities were perfect--laundry near by, small workout room, everything you could need in a kitchen to prepare meals---we stayed in for dinner a couple of nights and had everything we needed. The unit was fairly small but much more space than a hotel room so it was nice for my little to keep to her sleep schedule. The only downside for us was that this place is about 5-6 miles from the main strip--on the outskirts of town, so you can't really walk to anything.
This is a well maintained trailer park!!! Not a resort!!!

We stayed from 12/30/05 to 1/6/06. We were cramped into this very small space that would have been ideal for one. The bed was nothing more that a lumpy mattress on a wooden platform (no springs). It was beautifully decorated and the grounds were beautifully maintained, but the bottom line is that this is a trailer park. The bedroom is so small you have to slide sideways between the bed and the dresser (which is built in). There were no compact washer/dryer units so we had to drag our clothes out to another building altogether and then go back and forth to put in dryer etc. It would have made it easier if we had a compact washer/dryer in the trailer, but then where would they put it? There's simply no room! The girls at the front desk were condescending to us "older" ones and frequently we got raised eyebrows for some of our questions. Ellen the concierge was very helpful. If we ever do go back to Sedona, we know for sure that we won't be staying anywhere near Sedona Pines.
If you like trailer living, this place is for you

We came here expecting something at least as good as other resorts we've stayed at in the Sedona area. We were shocked to find that our accommodations were similar to a travel trailer, both in layout and size. The bedroom had barely enough room to move around and the bathroom was miniscule. The grounds are well-kept up, but if you want travel trailer living, rent a travel trailer instead and park it in one of the lovely campground areas near and on Oak Creek in beautiful Sedona. Don't waste your time and money here. What a huge disappointment.
Nice --- but

Just got back from the "Pines". Most of the resort was very nice. The outside of these modulars is very well kept. The units offer a lot of privacy and a man made stream runs down behind most of the units for a nice effect. It is a really neat concept if you know ahead of time that these are NOT high rise condos. They are individual units and that in itself is cool. There are no noises from the upper floors or next door neighbors slamming doors, loud tv, etc.
The only two things I didn't like was the uncooperative woman at the front desk (thought it would kill her if she had to take initiative to help with questions)and the carpets needed cleaning in our unit. Everything else was real clean and well stocked. It is six miles west of the "Y" in Sedona but never any traffic so it takes five minutes to get to town.
Hope this helps.
Quality of Service Was Amazing

Stayed January 15-21, 2006. It was just what we were looking for-quiet, private, clean, great amenities in kitchen. I experienced none of the problems I have had with previous resorts. At the Pines, you are treated like a real person, a guest they are happy to have. The rooms are small-but who would want to stay indoors in Sedona. Each cottage is separate, so never any noise from the neighbors. The level of friendliness, courtesy and help from the staff was exceptionally good. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff to the maintenance staff went out of their way to please. For example, a couple of nights were exceptionally cold and the heat pump could not keep up. A late night call to guest service produced 2 supplemental heaters within minutes -- and Fabian delivered them with a smile. The midweek housekeeper even washed the dishes. They were courteous enough to let us know ahead of time that the pool was down-offering to let us reschedule. I did not want to swim anyway and the lagoon spa was heavenly-very nice ambiance and hot enough to get out into the coolish January air. There were good quality classes available for all ages. I particularly enjoyed the art classes. And entertainment every night including a concert by Jesse Kalu, a real treat to hear him in person after all these years of enjoying his music. The concert was on a donation basis so was open to all budgets.
All in all a fantastic week.

Such a nice place

We got two days here, sort of on the spur of the moment, through RCI. It is nice place. Very clean and orderly grounds. The little cabins which are the rooms are as cute as they can be and comfy, full of everything you might need to stay a month. The resort is a little outside of Sedona but we liked that. The office people and concierge were very friendly and helpful, especially with information about restaurants and hiking in the area. They sold us a "use pass" and probably saved us getting a ticket. Excellent property.
