Great Buy

Only stayed for one night since it was a quick trip but couldn't have been happier with the accomodations. When we arrived we knew we wanted to have a nice dinner but had no idea where to go. The concierge was very helpful and suggested some good options for an Italian dinner. We ended up going with her first reccomendation Dahl and Diluca which was absolutely amazing. She also gave us a map of the area and pointed out some nearby attractions. Thanks to her suggestions we had the opportunity to see some wonderful things we never planned on seeing. Aside from the helpful staff the rooms were nice and clean. We had a small fridge to store left overs in and a jacuzzi jet tub. The beds were comfy and at the end of the night the in-room fireplace was very relaxing and romantic.

Unique Quality: Nearby airport and Red Rock state park

A wonderful surprise!

This hotel was located away from the crowds and busyness of Uptown Sedona, which is exactly what we wanted. We only stayed one night, but the service was wonderful and the room was beautiful. Our room had two sinks, two beds a fireplace and a patio. The room had a southwestern theme, nice architecture and was very clean. A continental breakfast was included and featured waffles you can prepare yourself on their waffle iron, several different types of bread with various toppings, and fresh bagels delivered every morning. We chose to eat at the locat restaurant (The Coffee Pot) instead, as it was our last morning there. The staff in the office were very nice and helpful. They have two huge volumes of restaurant menus, which helped us decide where to dine, since there are so many choices! We would definitely stay here again.

Unique Quality: Two nice outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center and a fireplace in the rooms.

More about Southwest Inn at Sedona

Great hotel!

by TripAdvisor Member mags2198

We stayed here for one night on 8/27/06. The staff was very courteous. The room was spacious and had a balcony. We stayed on the second floor and had a nice view of the mountains. The
room was very nicely decorated with a Southwest theme. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom amenties were nice.
Breakfast was very good, consisting of waffle batter to make your own waffles, various breads, bagels and cereals and even different types of cream cheese! They have a small workout room and a small pool and jacuzzi.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sedona, for this is a great hotel for the value. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much!

A Definite Winner

We stayed there for 4 nights and loved it. It was only minutes to uptown Sedona. The rooms are spacious w/very comfortable beds. The gas fireplace was simple to use and we enjoyed the ambiance. Breakfast was great too...nice selection. This has to be one of the best values we've encountered anywhere.

Southwest Inn's a Keeper!

by TripAdvisor Member Kadoodler

Stayed here 1/23-1/26/07. Found the Inn to be clean, quiet, safe and well-located (by car) to all we wanted to see/do. The fireplace was wonderful! Breakfast (included in price) was very good, though the selections remained the same all three days of our stay. For $89/night, this hotel was a great find. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend it highly.

Loved it and will stay again next year!

We recently stayed at the Southwest Inn for 5 nights. I booked the room directly with the hotel because we wanted a "King Suite" - it was great! We paid $189 a night and had a full bedroom, living area with a gas fireplace, 2 televiations, a big bathroom, a refrigerator, and a nice balcony overlooking the redrock. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and has a concierge who was more than willing to make dinner suggestions and reservations.

The location of this hotel is also great - its about 3 miles from the "downtown" area but is a quick drive to restaurants, the grocery store, shops, and hiking trails.

I highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying there again when we visit Sedona next year.

Feel free to contact me with any questions about the hotel!

Dark rooms, small windows

by TripAdvisor Member dththeheh

Very clean and a nice touch with the fireplaces in the rooms, but make no mistake this is really just a glorified motel. We paid $239 for 5 nights per night for a small suite. The rooms are very dark and the windows small, odd given the beauty of the region. The
"scrumptous breakfast" described on the website is just a subpar continental breakfast with a bunch of cold cereal, etc. Wouldn't recommend for kids and not romantic. If you need a place to stay it is clean.

Wow! Fantastic staff - immaculate, great location

We stayed at the Southwest Inn for 3 nights. You need at least 3 nights to see Sedona. The staff was friendly and helpful. Jamie, the concierge made our dinner reservations and planned daily hikes for us.

She even mapped out a scenic route to the Grand Canyon. I loved the rooms and the breakfast. I think the Southwest In is an excellent value!!

Warm welcome at the Southwest Inn

by TripAdvisor Member dunrobinhood

My husband and sister and I have recently returned from a wonderful holiday in the Southwestern United States. While we were in Sedona we stayed at the beautiful Southwest Inn where we were welcomed on our arrival by the friendly and hospitable staff who immediately offered us a cool drink after our long drive. The staff was very helpful to us as they suggested many hikes in the area, provided us with trail maps and helped us choose restaurants for dinner as well as making our reservations.
We were all pleased with our accommodation at the inn. Our suite was very clean and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and a nice balcony with a view of the spectacular red hills of Sedona.
A substantial breakfast is offered every morning and refreshments are available throughout the day which we particularly enjoyed after our long hikes in the surrounding hills
I would recommend this inn to anyone planning a trip to Sedona

Friendly helpful people

by TripAdvisor Member Southerngirl42

My sister & I had a week in Sedona and while we were on a vacation - we still had real job responsibilities. The staff at the SWInn were friendly, helpful & gave us access to the Internet that meant we could deal with the little things in the morning & still have fun all day. Their suggestions for tours were spot on - value for money and not twee tourist-y. The guides were really knowledgeable and the tours were value for money. Breakfast was 'suit yourself'' with plenty of fresh bagels. The spa was wonderful after a day's activities & the friendliness of SWINN staff seemed reflected in other guests. We will certainly return.
