Upon checking in with tired and hungry children at 6 pm we were given a hotel room that was never cleaned nor made up. The staff didn't communicate that to the front desk. When asked for an extra pillow to accommodate my three children I was refused and then when we (4) four paying customers arrived at the alleged FREE Continental breakfast during the (2) two hour window there were NO Donuts, No Cereal and No Coffee.
I did a mistake. I drove to Nogales instead of staying for a night in Tucson. Tucson offers much more variety of accommodation than Nogales. I was looking for economic accommodation driving I-10 to Nogales and finally I found it in the middle of a night... in Nogales.
So, better stay in Tucson. There are a few accommodation located at North Stone Avenue close one to each other, 1 mile north of Tucson downtown, close to University:
- University Inn
- Best Western Inn
- Kings Lodge
- Econo Lodge
- Super 8 Motel
- Flamingo Hotel.
I would choose either Best Western Inn (good quality and comfort, I am sure; whenever I chose Best Western during my USA trip I was very satisfied.
) or Econo Lodge (inexpensive).
