New Tucson hotel near great food

This hotel is located directly opposite from one of the nicest shopping and dining areas in Tucson. The location is great for business travelers. Probably not really a resort hotel, but definitely where I would stay if coming to town for something at the UofA and all the right on campus hotels were filled. Reasonable price that is. If money is no object then.... read my other Tucson hotel reviews. Not super close to I-10 so this is not a place to stay if just passing through.

Perfect!

This hotel makes part of the Hilton group and has only suites with separate bedroom and living area. Both with wall-to- wall carpeting.
The bed is very comfortable
The living area is comfortably equipped with a sofa, 2 arm chairs and a large flat HDTV . There one more HDTV in the bedroom
Other accommodations: desk/table, refrigerator, microwave, sink.
The bath room is ok, though there was no bath but a shower.

The hotel is clean and the staff is correct and friendly. We were very satisfied.

Unique Quality: Ask a room with pool view. The other rooms have a view over the parking lot, and don't make part of the ambiance of the hotel.

The balcony is rather poor. The full balustrade in adobe is blocking the view when seated. However, in Summer it keeps the suite cool.

A generous breakfast is included in the price. A team of cooks is ready to take your order. After several stays in the USA I am not surprized anymore to see people ordering hamburgers, bacon, vegetables and chips as breakfast. For those who like to start their day sumptuously: after Las Vegas, this is the place to stay.

Tucson & Phoenix Hilton properties

by ellielou

hi,
I'm off to AZ at the end of April, am using my Hilton points for this--and fee tix on UA to get there--and need some advice regarding Hilton properties. Can anyone direct me based on quality of hotel and location? Here are the one's I'm considering:

Tucson (one night):
Embassy Suites: Tucson-B'dway
5335 E B'dwy Blvd

Hampton Inn: Tucson-North
1317 W. Grant

Phoenix (2 nights):
Homewood Suites: Phoenix-Biltmore
2001 E. Highland Ave

Hampton Inn: Midtown-Dwntwn
160 W. Catalina

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks
