Meteor Crater
by RACCOON1
Just west of Winslow , Arizona is Meteor Crater . The crater is not a National Park .The admittance fee is excessive . Maybe if you are a single traveller it is worth it . Most people travelling in northern Arizona may have to stay at Winslow as its location is very convenient .
Standing on the corner of Winslow, Arizona.
by Gatopardo
"I wish I knew the song."
Aaron told me about the song by the Eagles and I bet more than a hundred find that song and standing on the corner of winslow, arizona meaningful. Unfortunately, I don't get the same feeling for it yet. It feels just *ajeno*, which means unrelated.
Anyway, I decided to have this picture here for a reason, besides the corner, there are not many things to see in Winslow, unless you want to explore it and have a day to walk on the streets.
There are couple things we explore and we enjoyed...
"Santa Fe Train"
A very few blocks from the *corner*, there is a train sleeping its way there.
"Old Trail Museum"
Don't let the small size of the museum to trick you. Once there we were surprised by the antiquities they own. It was a very interesting view of what happened there and how people lived.
Even, a mammoth molar.
The best: The train, i like trains a lot.
The better: Very near from Homolovi arch. site, so if you camp in the site, you can go to the town for stuff.
Which I enjoyed: A store that sells antiquities and curiosities, I wish I had a truck to buy that cute chair.
Useful: The super market that sells burritos and drinks.
Bad: We didn't buy the burritos at the first visit, when we returned, all of them were gone.
Weird: We couldn't really appreciate a mural and the *corner*, because some maintenance work blocked the view a bit.
