Amazing 50,000 year old meteor crater!

This Meteor Crater sits in the middle of the desert between Flagstaff and Winslow. A 175-ton 150 feet across rock fragment is believed to have broken away from an asteroid and hurtled toward earth 50,000 years ago..

It instantaneously created a crater over 4,000 feet across and 950 feet deep, strewing debris over a one-mile radius. This crater is where the Apollo astronauts trained for their moon missions.
