Lake Wedington Historical Area
by mrclay2000
Lake Wedington is a wooded retreat about sixteen to twenty miles westward from the midst of Fayetteville. Historic constructions, namely the cabins and the visitor center or lodge, were built in the 1930s under the WPA, and today (sorry zrim) stand on the National Register of Historic Places. This park sits in a grove of hardwood trees and from time to time sees black bear activity. There is good fishing, boating and swimming, as well as volleyball, picnicking and family reunions under the sheltered pavilion.
Welcome to Fayetteville, AR! Home of Walmart &more

"What's here? Alot more since Walmart started!"
Actually, you'll find that some of the streets are named after the people who run & own Walmart. And this town has a "sister city" which is Bentonville. You'll see signs that say "Go Hogs" as the University of Arkansas is here. College activities are considered "big" as they don't have their own professional baseball team, etc. On the strip, you'll see bar after bar, karaoke bar, pool (billiards) bar, and a few good restaurants.
