The University of Arkansas campus at Fayetteville is a collegiate sprawl through dozens of acres in the center of town. Its premier building and its oldest was constructed in 1875 as University Hall. Since that time affectionately referred to as "Old Main" and the first Arkansas structure to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places (several reside on campus), Old Main is emphatically the quintessence of American college architecture.
The Clinton House Museum is the first home of Bill and Hillary Clinton and served as their wedding chapel for their wedding on October 11, 1975. Visitors can browse through photograps, historical documents and videos, and learn about a part of the Clintons' life that many have never discovered.
The first time I really saw Arkansas, I was pleasantly surprised. So green and lush, lots and lots of big hills; part of the Ozarks. We have a family lakehouse there and Arkansas is now one of my favorite places in the world to go and relax.
There is a lot of personality in the college town of Fayetteville home of the University of Arkansas and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The townsquare is filled with many shops and a farmers market. (in the summer for sure) There has been a big influx of Hispanic people to the area in the last few years and many wonderful Mexican restaurants have been launched as a result.
