We stayed here about two years ago under the previous owner, but it looks like we didn't submit a review then. From the reviews, it looks about the same under the new owners, in other words: excellent. Why give your money to a chain motel? Come stay here. We stayed in the Garden Room, a kitchenette. It was quite, secluded, and had a homelike atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough. However, we were sad to see that we can no longer stay there, since the current owners have a no-pet policy. I can understand why some motels have a no-pet policy, but I would be happy to pay extra, since we are going nowhere without our cat.
Strangely enough, it looks like room prices have gone down under the new owners. Even more of a reason to stay here. Don't deprive yourselves.
Unique Quality: Themed rooms, great pool, quiet and semi-secluded.
Directions: It's on the main drag through Hot Springs. The only problem is that there are so many motels in Hot Springs, you have to drive slowly and look for it.
WE did not in any bu Alpine Inn on Park Ave.
Unique Quality: The most unique thing about this town is that there are not a lot of chain motels, and those that are here look rather unclean and a bit trashy. For the ambiance, we chose the Alpine Inn. It is ahead of others on the block for being clean and a place you may want to stay. While there, families form England, Norway and the owner is Scotish had us all over for a get together. The purpose here is to demonstrate that in spite of changing times since the 1950's when times were good, these places have not. They are part of our heritage, and the styles are form another time to be remembered.
It was good location and they owners are trying hard to improve the image. They are hands on and will do anything to satisfy you for the stay. They have about 16 rooms overall, all with some type of theme; like we stayed in the golf suite. Rooms are average size and they doi need to have a table for the refrig and microwave-but where else do you get those?
Unique Quality: The friendly attitude of the proprietors is the main feature. They are Eric and Leslie form Scotland, but been in US 11 years. They took a swing at entrepreneur venture and will do their best to please you. The price was what attracted us, but also close in proximity to the downtown. Some comment is is on the wrong side of town-but I think there is not right side of town. The chain motels looked rather dirty and the areas were no better
Directions: On the main Hwy 71 business coming into to=wn from the north
Me and my 7yr old stayed here for two nights before going to Little Rock for a Taekwondo Tournement. The room was very small, but decoratedly cutely. The price was great and came with tickets to Magic Springs/Crystal Falls. If your just looking for a place to sleep because your going to be out playing, this motel is perfect.
Unique Quality: All the rooms are themed almost like a B&B. It is located just a couple of blocks from all the sights in town. It has a pool, and the service is great for a small motel.
