Travel Tips for Hot Springs

Josephine Tussaud Wax Museum...

by Bostephenson

Josephine Tussaud Wax Museum -- which houses (or did last I was there) two exhibits. One exhibit is famous people from American history, the other is famous monstrous figures like Dracula or Wolfman. Very fun for children of all ages.

Architectural buildings Around Town

by BruceDunning

The AME Methodist church stands out withe the large silver dome and pointed brick columns. The St. John CAtholic church is also one of great beauty. The County Courthouse is form 1936, and art deco for that time period. It is the third courthouse on those grounds form 1888. On the hill top is what is not the rehab center, but used to be an old soldiers home since late 1800's. It is on Park Service grounds. The old mansions are now out of repair, but may come back.

RainWispr1's new Hot Springs Page

by RainWispr1

Hot Springs is the boyhood home of Bill Clinton, if that means anything to ya! I DID find that the locals don't appreciate tourists making jokes about their most famous local. It's a long story! Don't ask! :)
It's a beautiful little town nestled in the mountains of Arkansas. The largest attraction is the hot springs and horse racing, neither of which I did while there! The springs became popular during the 1920's if memory serves me. Beautiful old colonial style buildings house the baths along the old part of town. These baths are still functional. If you're in Arkansas, I highly recommend a stop at Hot Springs!
