More about Embassy Suites Hot Springs
The best in Hot Springs
by TripAdvisor Member cchampney
We recently stayed two nights at the Embassy and found it to be a very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. This is a newer hotel and suites are very peasant. They have a managers special happy hour which was just right after a day at the races. It gives the chance to mingle with other guests and listen to easy music. The location is next to the convention center and a few minute walk downtown. The staff is very helpful, they even run van service to area hotels etc. The hotel doesn't have the greatest view but it felt safe. The complimentary breakfast was easy though at times crowded. The spa was very nice and the staff went out of their way to make it a nice experience. These plush surroundings are very relaxing and they will sent your bath with the aroma of your choosing. It costs more but much more relaxing than the downtown spa. We don't generally gravitate toward chain hotels, but this one is probably the best in Hot Springs.
Glad we checked out!!..NOT worth the money!!

My wife and I read the reviews and decided to book our only week off all year at the Embassy Suites Hot Springs. We were excited about the full breakfast and the comp. managers reception, along with the expectation of a very nice room for the $120 per night we were paying.
The room was nice, but the bathroom didn't have an exaust fan so everything got very damp everytime someone took a shower. The beds had a beautiful spread that wasn't very practical to use due to the satin surface making it fall down during the night. The remaining blanket was not enough for the crazy a/c in the room....Which brings me to the A/C. It was a central air unit that made the room either ice cold or muggy warm. We tried for two days but couldn't get it to work.
The first morning, my wife, our four year old, and our baby went down for the breakfast. We thought that a Monday morning would be slow and it wasn't that busy. The breakfast was very disappointing!!..Everything was cold or just warm and the meat was not out with everything else. They made you stand at the omelette, pancake line and wait to ask for some cold sausage and bacon. I spoke with the Assistant F&B director but he didn't seem to care. I just told him that if they were going to put the meat back there they should have enough staff. Really seemed like a cheap policy for an expensive hotel.
We made it through breakfast and later in the day I went down to get my wife and I our well deserved margarita. I was suprised to see that the complimentary managers receptions was now $1 per drink. I know a dollar isn't much, but it is the principle. I have stayed at at least 6 Embassy Suites and never have paid more than the tip to the bartender.
The final straw was the $9.95 per night high speed internet charge. I thought that I would just use the dial up, but found out that they charge for local calls with time limits...What!!...Every single Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express all have free high speed and free local calls and charge 70-90 dollars...Why does this Embassy charge for both when they are charging $120 per night.
Anyway, we left after two nights and moved to the Clarion Resort on Lake Hamilton. We are paying $71 for a balcony two bedroom non-smoking..A little more cramped, but I will use the $200 I am saving to rent a boat on the lake for two days.
I will let you know in four days how the Clarion does!!!
Great Service, clean, well worth the money

I saw all of the positive reviews about the Embassy on this site, so I thought I would go ahead and try it out at $109/night. It was well worth the extra money. Of all the places I've been, this hotel had the absolute best service - so friendly and helpful! It was within walking distance to the main shopping area. They also provided a shuttle service within 5 miles of the hotel which we used. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel and it was free! The room was spacious and so clean. We enjoyed the piano playing in the evening and the $1 drinks with snacks. I enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The room service food was delicious...I have no bad comments at all! I highly recommend this hotel!
One of the Best Experiences We've Ever Had!!
by A TripAdvisor Member
I have been meaning to write this review since we returned (the first week of June, 2006). After reading the other June, 2006, review that was so bad, I decided that I had to write. It's a shame the other couple who moved to the Clarion had such a bad experience at the Embassy. Ours was wonderful. I have personally been all over in some of the best hotels in the world and could find very little wrong with the Embassy Suites in Hot Springs. So I will mention that first. One of the best things they could do would be to invoke "no smoking" in the hotel-especially since when you eat breakfast it is allowed. In light of all the negative information that continues to come out about the effects of second-hand smoke, it surprises me that such a fabulous hotel would inflict it on all their guests to satisfy such a few. (As far as we could tell, very few people-in ratio to the total number of guests there-actually were smokers.) The smoking was bad even though only a few guest were engaged in it. It permeated the air when we tried to eat breakfast and made us hurry and eat so that we and our daughter (who has smoke-induced asthma) could make a quick exit. Now for the positive-the hotel and rooms were immaculate and beautiful. We were greeted from the moment we arrived until the moment we left with the most well-mannered staff we had ever encountered at a hotel! From the bell hops to the managers, it seemed they couldn't do enough to see that we were well taken care of! It was truly amazing! The food in the restaurant was some of the most fabulous we have ever eaten, and prices were reasonable. We had no trouble with our A/C at all and found the rooms to be not just clean but spacious and luxurious as well. We had a view of the "mountains" from our room as they asked us if we preferred that view when we checked in! I'm not kidding; I felt like they thought our family was rating them or something. I would not even consider staying elsewhere when we return again to Hot Springs-unless, of course, we hear the quality has diminished. Even when we went sight-seeing, we heard reports from folks in town as to the quality of the Embassy Suites. We were told it was only about three years old and that they had won some award. So, if they take good care of it, hold on to their excellent chef/staff/etc, and keep up the good job, this will be a place that we will recommend highly and return to again and again. In light of how the other reviewers felt they were treated, I would hope that the hotel reads their review and attempts to correct the situation. The way those folks felt truly disappointed me after we had such a fabulous experience around the same time! Sounds like a letter of apology and maybe an offer of a free night or two from the Embassy is in order to "undo the damage" to those folks. Oh, the offer of free transportation from the hotel was a nice touch, too. (By the way, we stayed there based upon the favorable reviews posed on TripAdvisor.)
Honeymoon Perfection!
by TripAdvisor Member luvlarry
Our stay at the Hot Springs EmbasseySuites was wonderful
The staff went out of their way to make SURE we felt like we were on our honeymoon.
(including sending us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberrries).
Our only problems were a request that our oom be cleaned while we were out for several hours was not met (yest was corrected upon our return) and we were not able to get into the pool because of the Miss Teen pageant (too many teenagers...there should have been a time for adults only).
The staff can not be beat. Everyone was nice! For those companining about the smoking the Arkansas State Law changed on July 1 (As a smoke I was appreciative of the smoker friendly atmosphere). As for the manager's reception that is customaty at Embassey we aere told immediately that state laws prohibited free booze at the receptions. I would rather pay the dollar and get a premium drink then get sub quality liqour for free.
Again the people are extremely friendly and every single person on the staff seemed to KNOW we were on our honeymoon and acknowledged that (thatnk you Curtis). We were thrilled with our stay and we will be back for our anniversary!
We loved this hotel!

We ended up at the Embassy Suites after having a terrible experience at the Park Hotel. The lady running the service desk at the Park recommended it as we were leaving after having to get a refund on our horrible room there. The Embassy Suites was so inviting as soon as we stepped through the doors. Everyone was so kind and the ambience was very relaxing. The room was big and very clean. We could not have been more pleased. We paid $134 for the room which was a little more expensive than that we wanted to pay, but it really was worth it especially since the breakfast was included and we have 3 kids. There was a short wait at the omlette station but the food was all good and we just really enjoyed our stay there. We recommend the Embassy Suites and would definitely stay there again.
Fantastic Place!

Husband and I checked into a beautiful hotel and great staff. Stayed in many places and this one rates highly with us! Would definitely stay here again. Clean and stylish rooms, good breakfast, good manager's reception even with the $1.00 charge (still - what a deal!) for drinks due to Arkansas law and no control by hotel, friendly, helpful staff and a great location as well! Love Embassy Suites anyway, but this one was exceptional! Don't change a thing!!!
Loved the Embassy Suites

We stayed at the Hot Springs Embassy Suites for two nights after having a nightmarish experience at the EconoLodge on Central Avenue. The staff was very accomodating, the room was beautiful, the food was great, everything was wonderful. Since I had no desire to make contact with my office while on vacation, the charge for internet service wasn't an issue. However, I hope that in the future they will reconsider charging for the service. Most hotels of this quality do not.
This is the place to stay !

This is the place to stay ! We had originally booked 2 nights at Country Inn and suites on Central Avenue and it was horrible , dirty rooms in disrepair not worth 129.00 a night (suite yeah right ) , so we left and went to the embassy suites (125.00 a night) to a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door !
The hotel is beautiful ! Staff is warm and freindly from the second you come in , very helpful and accommodating and we arrived to a managers reception of finger foods and excellent drinks for 1.00 each and the waterfall in the atrium is beautiful and relaxing and you can hear it all around you and we enjoyed the piano playing too very much. Then when we went up to our room , we were pleasantly greeted with an immaculate tasteful 2 room suite that was crisp and clean and gorgeous! We ended up staying 3 nights instead of 2 and wished we would have been able to stay longer ! This is an experience not just a place to stay - at breakfast (which is a buffet and also cooked to order eggs and pancakes with meats) we were greeted by 2 very friendly staff -Kerry and Elaine - who are excellent cooks and made us feel like family ! Their pancakes and omelets were some of the best weve ever had ! They treated our little one like she was someone special too . (they better hang on to these gals ! )
Its touches like this that make this the place you reccommend to all your friends and we will never consider anywhere else to stay when we visit Hot springs . Its worth every penny and then some ! Clean crisp comfortable room , reception , breakfast , nice pool , no need to even bother with anywhere else , this is the place to stay !
Perfect Honeymoon at Embassy!
by TripAdvisor Member Muffin06
We stayed from July 20 - 23 in a standard suite for our honeymoon. It was extremely clean and quiet. Our room was right next to the laundry room on the eight floor, and we were not able to hear the washers and dryers at all. The bed is on the firm side. The only thing that we found that needed improvement were the towels and washclothes. They are VERY rough. If we ever go to this hotel again, I would probably bring my own due to the roughness.
The breakfast is good but get up early to miss the huge family crowd and to have a decent seat. The in-house restaurant Bistro 400 was good. We can recommend the blackened chicken pasta and the club.
All of the staff was very friendly and was able to provide easy-to-follow directions to various places. We would definitely stay here again. It was a PERFECT choice for our honeymoon.
Bathhouse Row is within walking distance but it is somewhat of a trek. We just drove to the visitor's center and parked there when we walked on the Row. Something to keep in mind: Convention Blvd splits. When you are turning left onto Convention next to Brau Haus, the road is called Broadway not Convention!
