Hey there
Im moving to LR from europe for a few years so i will need a room (about 600$) with some nice roomies if possible ! Of course i ve never been to LR so im quite lost.
My question is which aera is safe, nice and close to stores and pubs? What about the riverfront, or may be downtown? Is there an area where most of good clubs and pubs r located or is it like spread all around downtown?

You won't find anything in the 600 range downtown. The downtown area is increadible & where you want to be, but would have to find roomates for sure to keep in your 600.00 budget. try looking at

the little town of mountain view, arkansas, is just a two-hour drive north from little rock and is unlike any other place i have ever been. wonderful music, crafts, and people! see my separate page on mountain view, arkansas, for more detailed info.
This is a great place to have lunch, or to hang out on the roadside deck on a nice day. Tried some specials; like the Mushroom soup with Brie cheese. Yummy. The crabcakes were adequate, but nothing like my Maryland crabcakes.....
Little Rock is my home, and maybe this is why I have such a vendetta against it. After all, people seldom love their hometowns. But when the only things your city has ever produced are Bill Clinton and racism, you have to step back and consider what's going wrong.
Little Rock, Arkansas ... I like to call it the worst of both worlds. On one end it's a mediocre suburban Anywhere, bleak and second-rate and grimy. It has very little character, since everyone is trying to be a weak imitation of the larger cities. On the other hand, Little Rock shows its Southern pride with toothless biggots and churches the size of space stations. It's like a hideous marriage between the world of soccer moms and repressed sexuality, and the world of unfriendly hillbillies and three-legged dogs.
