Also moving to Little Rock
by AF888
I am potenitally moving to Little Rock from Mississippi. I am getting my resume ready to send to employers in Little Rock. I am 25 years old and will eventually be going back to school. My background is in the human resource field. I would like to start looking for apartments in Little Rock. Where is the best area to live for someone my age? I don't want to spend an outrageous amount in rent, but I do have some requirements that I'm not willing to budge on. Any advice on areas to look and is Little Rock a town for young people also?

West Little Rock is new and has everything, but can be a little on the high side for price. The Heights has been a cool place to live for the past 50 years or so, if you look hard you might find a place.
On the other side of the river is North Little Rock, as a rule cheaper, but not as nice.
Please feel free to email for questions, you might not want to post public.
Travel Tips for Little Rock
Also located just west of...
by Bostephenson
Also located just west of Little Rock off of Arkansas 10 is Pinnacle Mountain. The mountain takes about a mile to hike up from the visitors' center side. The park is extensive though, with two possible ascents, the other ascent being a bit more rigorous. From the top there is an excellent view of the Arkansas River Valley all the way past downtown Little Rock. Picture courtesy Arkansas State Parks & Recreation.
Have you seen the epic movie...

Have you seen the epic movie Gone With the Wind? Well, we are part of the opening scenes - Here is the Old Mill located in North Little Rock. Although not an actual working grist mill, it is a beautiful spot in the springtime.
A Little "ghost town" Rock
by mafootje
"It was a sunday"
This really must have been the most empty "big" city we have ever drove to. It was a sunday when we where driving from Fort Smith to Memphis.
Niki decided she would like to see this town because of the simple fact that Bill Clinton came from this town.
So we drove into the town and saw really empty streets, really strange.
But it gave us the opportunity to take some pictures.

Sorry that we don't have any information about Little Rock...we couldn't find anything that looked open enough to take a closer look.
