Mather Lodge: The Only Thing Petite Jean State Park Has TO Offer

I didn't stay here because my boyfriend's house wasn't too far away. But it was located in an ideal spot. When we visited the park it appeared as though the building was closed or possibly under construction, but people flocked to its grounds for the overlook.

camp sites: Hmmmmm....

Why would you look for a hotel or anything of the sort when you go here, is beyond me :)
The camp sites are clean, well situated and the only complaint I would have would be that they were too close to each other. If it is isolation from humanity you are looking for, this is not it. Regardless, it is like a outdoors meeting place for outdoor enthusiasts. It's great.
In order to reserve in advance, you have to book for 2 days in a row, and I believe it was $15/night/camp site. One Camp site can hold 2 tents maximum. Can park the car right by your camp site.
