Queen Wilhelmina Campground: Mountain Camping
A nice place to stay and get away from the summer heat is the Queen Wilhelmina State Park Campground. The views are great and it is much cooler than down in the vallies. There is a great lodge and restaurant nearby too. I did not camp here just enjoyed the park. A full campsite that is handicapped accessible is $17 in the summer and much less in the winter.

Queen Wilhelmina Lodge: Great Luxury Accomodations
The park has had well-known luxurious lodging since 1898. The currect lodge is certainly no exception. The lobby is very impressive and the 38 guest rooms are (reportedly, I did not see them) also very nice. I did not stay here just toured the park. Rooms are from $70 to $120. This park is much cooler than the surrounding lowlands and the views are spectacular. They have handicapped accessible rooms, too. Great restaurant on site.
Unique Quality: Fot one of the two "Queen's Rooms at $120:
•Fireplace
•Mountain View
•Satellite Television
•This room has one four poster, queen size bed, a sitting area with an overstuffed chair and chaise lounge, large stone fireplace, television, telephone, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, alarm clock, wireless internet service, a private bath with gold fixtures and tub shower combination. Each Queen's Room offers an adjoining room that can be rented separately.
