The service in this restaurant compared to any top of the line restaurant in a large city.
When travelling through the state of Arkansas, here is another well kept secret. There are not many good restaurants in rural Arkansas. To find a good restaurant you would have to be in Little Rock, or perhaps one of those quaint Bed and Breakfasts. But, in Star City there is a genuinely well kept secret for some reason. It is called "The Country Village". It used to be a religous camp ground. It evolved into a little village of shops and restaurants. There is a jewlery store, place for framing and buying paintings, a leather shop, taxidermy, and several restaurants. It is, in a word, fantastic. For example, in the steak and seafood restaurant we ate in, the man at the door was in a dark suit. Our waiter was in a shirt and tie. We ordered filet mignon and seafood. It was all delicious. There are many other stores in this little quaint village. You will have to ask to be able to find it. But, Star City is a very small little town. The village is in deep woods with gravel roads winding through it. This is a must see if you are in that location. Star City is in Southeast Arkansas and south and east of Pine Bluff. Approximately 25 miles off of a main state highway 65.
